Monotype Imaging is actively involved with the efforts to standardize WOFF (Web Open Font Format) for use with web browsers. We are happy to report that the International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF) has adopted support for WOFF in the EPUB 3 specification.

EPUB has been widely adopted for ebooks and EPUB 3 provides an even more robust environment for digital publications. WOFF support will bring significantly richer typography to ebooks and epublications.

Monotype Imaging has an extensive range of fonts available to publishers for use with WOFF in digital publications, and can also provide font technology to developers of ereading software and hardware devices to render fonts on screen with optimal reading quality and legibility.
